About Us

Who We Are

Oasis Farm is a family farm that has operated for generations producing crops such as maize, ground nuts, peppers and tomatoes however due to drought exacerbated by the impacts of climate change, some of the farming activities halted. In 2020 the farm was officially registered and diversified into commercial eggs production, we understand that poultry, be it eggs or chicken they are cheapest form of protein especially in rural communities. We seek to master the entire value chain of poultry and diversify into feeds production. We have crops production at small scale and seeking to scale up.

We are committed to science driven, sustainable practices to ensure our farm’s productivity for the benefit of present and future generations.

Mudzunga Thangavhuelelo | Managing Director

Mudzunga Khuthadzo Thangavhuelelo, holds Masters in Sustainability and Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology from the University of Venda. She has worked in the national and international space. She has worked at South African Departments such as Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment and the Gauteng Department of Economic Development.

She has also worked for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Transnet. She is passionate about community development, during her youth, she was part of the SABC Take 5 community shapers programme. She is passionate about sustainability, Energy, climate change and food security. She is an alumni of the Ford Foundation and Africa-America Institute. During her time at the United Kingdom, she too a pledge with the Africa-America Institute that “for the sake of social justice in South Africa, upon finalizing her studies, she will return to South Africa and serve her Country”
